ROCKLAND — Rockland’s Public Services Director Kathy Bourque Parker resigned her post.

City Manager Tom Luttrell said Bourque Parker’s last day of work was Aug. 13. He said no reason was given for her departure.

Bourque Parker joined the city staff in January 2020.

Bourque Parker is a civil engineer and worked for the city of Anchorage, Alaska, in its operation and maintenance department, where she led the lights division. She is a member of the American Public Works Association.

She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono. Parker grew up in Topsham.

Bourque Parker succeeded David St. Laurent, who served as public services director for four years. He left in July 2019 to take the same position in Camden.

Luttrell said he will be advertising for a new director.
