ROCKLAND — Patricia Shurtleff Henrikson, 89, peacefully passed away at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor July 7, 2021.

​Patricia was born Jan. 5, 1932 in Concord, N.H., to Janet (Grant) Shurtleff of Penicuik, Scotland, and Joseph Shurtleff of Concord, N.H.

Patricia Shurtleff excelled in basketball, tennis and was proficient in shorthand, graduating with honors from Concord High School in 1949.

In New Hampshire, Patricia was employed as a music therapist, and later worked at Goodwill Industries of Maine.

Patricia Shurtleff Henrikson lived in Thomaston, from the mid-1960s until early 1990s then moved to Rockland.

Patricia, a.k.a Pat, was a member of the Mid-Coast Coastal Choral Society music group in the 1970s.

“PSH” enjoyed art, cats, swimming, skiing, bird watching, gardening, reading, also viewing basketball and soccer games throughout her life.

Patricia Henrikson is survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; daughter Eve Seiler of Scarborough; sons Karl Henrikson of Waterville and Per Henrikson of Lewiston.

A loving mother, Patricia Shurtleff Henrikson always will be respectfully remembered for her humility and caring soul.
