One thousand numbered golf balls will be dropped from a 50-foot lift during the PAWS tournament Aug. 13 at Goose River Golf Club.

CAMDEN — PAWS Animal Adoption Center is hitting the green this August for its second annual Fore PAWS Golf Tournament & Golf Ball Drop, Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m. The event is one of the animal shelter’s largest annual fundraisers, featuring a raffle-style Golf Ball Drop with a top prize of $1,000.

While the golf tournament itself is full, anyone can still try their luck for the animals by purchasing Golf Ball Drop Tickets. A total of 1,000 numbered golf balls will be dropped from a 50-foot lift during the PAWS tournament Aug. 13 at Goose River Golf Club. Whichever numbered ball lands closest to the designated flag is the winner of the $1,000 grand prize. Second prize is $500. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold at a cost of $10 each. Participants may purchase as many $10 tickets as they like. Each ticket purchased represents one numbered golf ball. All proceeds benefit the animals at PAWS. Golf Ball Drop participants need not be present to win. However, anyone from the public is welcome to attend the Golf Ball Drop at Goose River Golf Club in Rockport.

For more information or to purchase your tickets before they run out, visit pawsadoption.org/pawsgolf or email events@pawsadoption.org.
