Sheriff’s Office probes gunpoint robbery in Washington

WASHINGTON — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said it has suspects in a reported armed robbery in the afternoon of July 25 in Washington.

A resident of the Augusta Road reported shortly after 5 p.m. that he was robbed at gunpoint at his residence.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the department believes this is an isolated case, and there is no specific threat to the general public.
