WARREN — One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash July 22 on Route 90 in Warren.

At approximately 3 p.m., Knox County Regional Communications received a report of a two-vehicle crash, with injuries, on Camden Road in Warren, in the area of Lincoln’s Country Store.

A 2015 GMC pickup, operated by Travis Lee, 29, of Waldoboro, was making a left hand turn, from the eastbound lane, into Lincoln’s Country Store and turned in front of a 2004 Chevy pickup, operated by James Kinney, 61, of Warren, which was traveling west. Kinney struck Lee in the front passenger corner and both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lane of travel.

Lee was checked and released medically at the scene. Kinney was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage.

The incident is still under investigation but it is believed that driver inattention is the primary cause of the crash, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office assisted by the regional communications center, Warren Fire & Emergency Services, Oyster River Towing and Hillside Towing.
