SPRUCE HEAD — After 16 months of pandemic, stress and isolation, the Spruce Head Community Hall is now celebrating its reopening with a bake sale Saturday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to noon.

It’s time to stock up on cakes, pies, cookies, bread, muffins and other home-baked items to share with everyone who’s now appearing on your doorstep to catch up and swap stories.

Stop in at the Hall July 31, enjoy a free cold or hot beverage and purchase goodies to take home.

Also available at the bake sale will be the newly minted “Spruce Head” ball caps as well as copies of Community Hall publications like “From Our Home to Yours: A Spruce Head Cookbook” and “Spruce Head: Selections from the Poetry of Wilbert Snow.”

The Spruce Head Community Hall was founded in 1922, and plans are already underway for a centennial celebration next year.
