ROCKPORT —Four people were taken to Pen Bay Medical Center July 13 when a van and car collided on Route 17 in Rockport.

The crash occurred at about 4 p.m., at the intersection of Route 17 and Liberty Street.

Camden-Rockport Police Chief Randy Gagne said van with six people in it was turning onto Route 17 from Liberty Street and pulled in front of a westbound sedan on Route 17.

The four injured complained of pain. There were no life-threatening injuries, he said.

The crash remains under investigation. Rockport Police, Rockport Fire, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Northeast Ambulance and the Hope Fire Department responded. Officers Antonio Del Vecchio and Travis Ford are the investigating officers.
