ROCKLAND — On Monday, July 12, the Farnsworth Art Museum celebrates Wyeth Day with a special virtual presentation on Zoom. The program will feature a conversation between artist Jamie Wyeth and Farnsworth Chief Curator Michael K. Komanecky focused on the recent gift by Betsy Wyeth to the museum of 27 works by three generations of Wyeths. The program will take place beginning at 5 p.m., and is sponsored by The Cornelia Cogswell Rossi Foundation.

Upon Betsy Wyeth’s passing in 2020, the Farnsworth Art Museum received from her bequest 27 works by three generations of Wyeth family artists: six by N.C., two by Andrew, and 19 by Jamie. Together, they greatly enriched the museum’s already strong holdings of their works, and at the same time demonstrate Betsy Wyeth’s passion for collecting. Komanecky will talk with Jamie Wyeth about his mother’s collecting, and his impressions of the works she left to the Farnsworth.

The fee for this program is $25, $10 for Farnsworth members. For more information or to register, visit farnsworthmuseum.org.
