University of Southern Maine announces spring 2021 dean’s list

PORTLAND — The University of Southern Maine has announced the massive number of students named to the spring semester dean’s list. In total, 1,600 students earned the distinction.

To be on the list, full-time undergraduate students who completed 12 credit hours or more, with a minimum of 12 letter-grade credits, must have a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

Full-time students are eligible for the list each semester; the full list is available online.

The following students include Josh Jones and Kyle Long of Cushing; Lydia Simmons of Friendship; Keariel Peasley, Nina Davis and Daniel Pierce, all of Owls Head; Lauren Darge of Rockland; Lauren Miller of St. George; Abby Nelson of Union; and Rebekah Marks of Waldoboro.

The University of Southern Maine is a public university with 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students taking courses online and at campuses in Portland, Gorham and Lewiston-Auburn.

Locals make dean’s list at Wentworth Institute of Technology

BOSTON — Knox County residents Martin J. King of Cushing and Simon T. O’Shea of Rockland made the dean’s list at Wentworth Institute of Technology for the spring 2021 semester.

Wentworth Institute of Technology is a university offering bachelor’s and graduate degree programs in areas such as engineering, architecture, computer and data science, life sciences, management and design. Its 31 acres are in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, Mass.
