UNION — The Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage, located on the Union Fairgrounds, is now open for the season.

The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors.

The public can visit the site and see the Moxie Bottle House, the world’s largest Moxie bottle in the only public Moxie Museum in the country. The museum also houses an extensive carriage house, a large display of antique farm equipment and the one room Hodge School, formerly located in Washington.

With over 10,000 items on display in the main building and the Maine Wild Blueberry Museum located just across the driveway, it is one of the largest museums in Maine.
