ROCKLAND — The Farnsworth Art Museum announces the return of First Fridays at the Farnsworth, on Friday, July 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. The event, which is part of Arts in Rockland’s First Friday art walks, offers free admission to the Farnsworth, from 5 to 8 p.m. To ensure a much safer and more spacious atmosphere, Main Street will be closed to car traffic for the duration of the art walk. The museum’s Main Street door will be open for easier access to the galleries throughout the event.

“The Farnsworth is thrilled that First Friday art walks are returning to Rockland’s Main Street,” said Farnsworth Director, Christopher Brownawell. “The July 4th weekend is the perfect time for the public to gather once again in celebration of Rockland as the Art Capital of Maine, and we’re truly grateful to First National Bank for helping to make the Farnsworth’s participation possible.”

First Fridays at the Farnsworth will take place this year on July 2, August 6, September 3, and October 1. First National Bank sponsored the event. For more information visit farnsworthmuseum.org.
