Medomak Valley High School class of 2021 graduated in two outdoor ceremonies June 9.

The ceremonies were at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Salutatorian Sean Sebrey spoke about challenges the class faced. Sebrey described his classmates as underdogs, and spoke about their resilience.

Valedictorian Zachary Cheesman spoke about individuality and success. Cheesman said the class endured hardships, but he was also able to attend school with no pants on.

Student speaker Emma Kunesh talked about her family legacy and her individual impact.

In an emotional moment, principal Linda Pease called the family of Zachary Winpenny to the stage.

Winpenny died in a car crash in December 2020. His family and the school honored his memory as a forever member of the class of 2021.

Family members and graduates were then called to the stage in small groups for diplomas and scholarships.

A photographer was present to capture this moment, and each graduate will receive a photo free of charge.

Videos of the ceremonies were also live-streamed.
