The Rockland Public Library presents "The Infiltrators," Thursday, June 17, at 6:15 p.m., to be screened over Zoom. This event is free and open to all.

This is the library's third virtual film screening of the year. Please note that unlike its typical Thursday night programs, it will not be recorded and archived to YouTube.

"The Infiltrators," a 2019 film by Alex Rivera and Cristina Ibarra, is the true story of two young immigrants who get purposefully arrested by Border Patrol and put in a shadowy for-profit detention center. The film follows Marco and Viri, members of a group of radical Dreamers who are on a mission to stop deportations. And the best place to stop deportations, they believe, is in detention. The film is a co-presentation of Latino Public Broadcasting.

This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV;  learn more at pbs.org/pov.
