Time has stood still, at least for the past few weeks, for the city clock.

The clock, located at General Berry Park at Main and Water Streets, has not worked for at least the past few weeks.

Rockland City Manager Tom Luttrell said April 6 an electrician has been contacted and will look at what caused the power loss to the clock.

MBNA donated the clock to the city in the early 2000s. MBNA moved into Rockland's South End in 2001 when it purchased nearly all the properties on the water side of Water Street, demolished them, and built the large commercial office building that houses SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc., which use to be named DST and earlier Boston Financial.
