The Rockland Public Library presents "Tribal Justice" Thursday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. to be screened over Zoom. This event is free and open to all.
This is the library's first virtual film screening of the year. Please note that unlike its typical Thursday night programs, it will not be recorded and archived to YouTube.
In "Tribal Justice," a 2017 film by Anne Makepeace, two Native American judges reach back to traditional concepts of justice in order to reduce incarceration rates, foster greater safety for their communities, and create a more positive future for their youth.
This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (pbs.org/pov).
For a link to the Zoom event, please email elewis@rocklandmaine.gov by 4 p.m. on Feb. 18 and identify the event you are interested in attending in the subject line.
