In recognition of February’s designation as Black History Month, Rep. Vicki Doudera hosts a virtual book discussion event Sunday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m. for participants to learn more about Black history and heritage, and to explore the important contributions and achievements of Black figures throughout American history.

Read a fiction or non-fiction book that deepens your knowledge of Black history and share it during the Feb. 21 Zoom meeting. Your sharing will take the form of a short (2 to 3 minute) oral book report, or you may join as an audience member to learn about books to read in the future.

For more information and to register for the event, visit Rep. Doudera’s website, vickiformaine.com. You’ll find a link to sign up for the event, as well as a comprehensive reading list for Black History Month compiled by the Camden Public Library.
