Starting in January, Ashwood Waldorf School will hold a series of virtual open houses for adults interested in learning about the school’s kindergarten through eighth grade programs. The first virtual open house will take place Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 6 to 7 p.m. The theme will be, "Where Do They Go from Here?: How do Ashwood students fare in high school and beyond?" Parents are often eager to know that their child will be prepared for the challenges of high school and beyond — both academically and socially. The discussion will cover how Ashwood students make the transition to high school and some of the qualities and capacities they carry with them that can help them thrive. To receive a videoconference link for the January virtual open house, preregister at or call 207-236-8021.

Subsequent virtual open houses are scheduled for the last Wednesday of each month. Each event will include information about the school's curriculum, which integrates academics, arts, movement, music and hands-on learning to cultivate the gifts of each child. The events will be informal, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions based on their particular interests. Each event will feature a different theme and faculty members as well as a variety of special guests (alumni, alumni parents, community members, educators) will be on hand to answer guests’ questions.
