The Penobscot Bay and Rockland Harbor YMCA membership drive will benefit kids who need coats at Knox County Homeless Coalition. Individuals have the opportunity to save money and keep kids warm when they donate winter gear at their local YMCAs.
With a donation of youth-sized winter jackets, boots, snow pants, or hats and mittens/gloves, the Y will give new members an extra month free with their paid three- or six-month specially priced winter package. The membership drive promotion is ongoing through Jan. 31. Visit facebook.com/penobscotbayymca or call 207-236-3375 for details.
To find out more about how you can make a difference to those who are experiencing homelessness in our area, or to support KCHC’s vision and focus on prevention, contact the Coalition at 207-593-8151 or info@homehelphope.org.
