Effective immediately, the Thomaston Municipal Building at 13 Valley Street is closed Jan. 4 and Jan. 5 for deep cleaning, after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. There are four other employees that are quarantining.
The closure also means that the Economic Development Committee and Select Board Joint Workshop for Wednesday, Jan. 6, has been postponed to an undetermined date.
The Municipal Building will be deep cleaned by a cleaning company before reopening to the public. It is uncertain if offices will be closed longer than two days; however, the Town will notify the public if there is an extension of closure.
Online services are available for residents to renew their vehicle registrations, dog registrations, hunting and fishing licenses, and ATV/snowmobile registrations. Visit the Town’s website at thomastonmaine.gov.
