Join Vose Library for "Zoom with Vose Wednesdays" on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. for a conversation with Maine author Anne Britting Oleson. A graduate of Bowdoin College and the Stonecoast MFA program of the University of Southern Maine, she has published four novels, "The Book of the Mandolin Player" (2016), "Dovecote" (2017), "Tapiser" (2019) and "Cow Palace" (2020). She also has four poetry chapbooks: "The Church of St. Materiana" (2007), "The Beauty of It" (2010 and 2016), "Alley of Dreams" (2018), and "Magic Somewhere Else" (forthcoming).

In recent years, Britting Oleson has been awarded several residencies; she has had stories, poems, and book reviews published in literary magazines worldwide; and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, as well as an award for Best Of The Net. She has taught English and creative writing for more than 30 years, to both high school and adult students. She is a founding member of Simply Not Done, a women’s reading, writing, and teaching collective.
