Seven Midcoast nonprofit agencies have been awarded grants from the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation. The awards are given to nonprofits that advance community development and improve the quality of life in their communities.
Midcoast recipients are the Rockport Library Foundation, $15,000; Area Interfaith Outreach, $7,500; PAWS Animal Adoption Center, $5,000; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine, $10,000; Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition, $10,000; Coastal Mountains Land Trust, $7,500 and Wayfinder Schools, $7,000.
“Serving our community is what we do. And in a year of unprecedented challenges, supporting the organizations and community heroes that serve our most vulnerable friends and neighbors has never been more important,” said Bob Montgomery-Rice, President and CEO of Bangor Savings Bank. “We are proud to support these incredible organizations that are improving lives through impactful programs and initiatives.”
