Maine is known for its lighthouses and the breathtaking seascapes surrounding them. In this new volume, “Lighthouses of Maine: A Photographic Journey,” photographer Dominic Trapani has captured the beauty, romance and mystery that are synonymous with the lighthouses of Maine, from Kittery to Calais.
The book contains 150 images that were captured throughout all four seasons. As a photographer, Trapani is motivated by a passion to capture the breathtaking beauty and many moods of the Maine coast. The author has been around lighthouses his entire life and has experienced them on many fronts – from adventure to preservation. He enjoys searching out and sharing all aspects of coastal life as seen through the lens of his camera. Trapani’s work has been published in several calendars, magazines and regional Maine guides.
