After years in the making, it’s official! The new Rockport Public Library will open to the public on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m.
In making the announcement, Library Director Ben Blackmon said, “We can’t wait to welcome everyone into the building and show them around their new library. And I want to thank all the members of our community who worked so hard to make this day a reality. We could not have done this without them.”
He adds, “We know you all want to see the new library. Unfortunately, even with the doors open, we can only let 10 patrons in the building at any one time due to the pandemic. So we ask that you try to keep your visit to 30 minutes or less to allow everyone a chance to see the new building.” Note that masks are required to enter the building.
The Rockport Public Library Hours:
Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday – 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays – returning soon in 2021!
