Alert reader Rick Bates gave the tired news staff a heads up Wednesday that there is an announcement on the Rockport Facebook page stating: "Central Street will be closed on Thursday from the Bridge at the intersection of Pascal and Main, and up Union Street, to the Post Office. Detour signs will be in place. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your patience."
