After a month of early voting, the formal election day arrived Tuesday, Nov. 3.

About 100 Rockland residents lined up around the Flanagan Community Center for the polls to open at 8 a.m.

City Council candidate Sarah Austin was at the door greeting the people going through the line.

Rockland has about 5,300 registered voters. About half cast their ballots prior to Tuesday.

Rockland voters will elect two city councilors and decide on a municipal minimum wage law in addition to state and federal elections.

Polls will remain open until 8 p.m.
