New Hope for Women, Midcoast Maine’s only domestic violence resource center serving Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo Counties since 1981, recently received a donation of several new fall jackets for the next Pop Up Shop scheduled for August 2021.

Extra jackets were donated to various nonprofit organizations within New Hope for Women’s four-county catchment area. In Waldo County, donations were made to Waldo Community Action Partners.

The Waldo Community Action Partners assist low-income residents of Waldo County through resourceful planning and intervention. In addition, the agency examines how best to alleviate the root causes of poverty. The jackets will be used for families in need and will provide a bit of warmth as the cold season approaches.

New Hope for Women extends a special thanks to Sierra Dietz of the Grasshopper Shop in Rockland for assisting with transporting the jackets to Rockland. The jackets, along with a full selection of new and gently used quality women’s clothing and accessories, will be on sale at New Hope for Women’s 2021 Pop Up Shop.

Those interested in donating clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, scarves, hats and the like should contact New Hope for Women at 594-2128 or to arrange for pick up or drop off.
