The Farnsworth Art Museum is excited to announce plans for its annual free Fall Family Festival, 2020 Virtual Edition! From Friday, Oct. 23, through Saturday, Oct. 31, in keeping with current restrictions on large public gatherings, the Farnsworth will host free remote activities and experiences geared especially toward children and families. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration.

Participants should preregister to secure a Fall Family Festival Jack-O-Lantern Kit, which includes everything needed to design and create a Halloween jack-o-lantern—including the pumpkin! Visit to sign up.

The Farnsworth remote pumpkin-carving kits are offered free of charge thanks to the support of Beth’s Farm Market in Warren. Participants are invited to upload photos of carved pumpkins at We look forward to seeing your creations!

In addition, talented local musician, mime, and educator Scot Cannon will provide a live, family-friendly mime and music workshop entitled Be Positive Be Productive via Zoom on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. This 45-minute program will feature Halloween-inspired songs that the whole family will enjoy. There is no charge for the performance, but registration is required.
