Celebrate wildlife refuge week with coastal park ranger Oct. 14
VIRTUAL — Maine Coastal Islands NWR’s Park Ranger will go live on Facebook to talk about the work of the wildlife refuge and featured wildlife Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. The program is part of National Wildlife Refuge Week, Wildlife Wednesday.

Free parenting sessions offered Oct. 14 thru Nov. 5
VIRTUAL — Build a stronger relationship with your child in these multi-session programs. Each session is two hours, one evening a week. Parents and caregivers will learn about stages of development, styles of parenting, effective discipline techniques, communicating effectively, brain development, understanding misbehavior and more. All sessions are held via Zoom.
To register for the "Active Parenting First Five Years," program, contact Helen Rogers at 844-1285 or helen.rogers@mmcacorp.org. These sessions will be held Oct. 15, Oct. 22, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. Morning sessions will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and with evening sessions from 6 to 8 p.m.
To register for "Active Parenting for Parents of Children Ages five to 12," contact Missy Kettell at 442-7963, ext. 286. These sessions will be held Oct. 14, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
