Gardner John Fromer will lead a presentation on preparing perennial gardens for fall and winter at Merryspring Nature Center Tuesday, Oct. 6 at noon.

In this outdoor program, Fromer will teach how to finish dividing the season’s perennials, select the right spring bulbs to plant, and how to close up the garden. John will cover how to protect plants over winter, and explain how steps taken in the fall will promote a healthy, fresh start in the spring.

Fromer has been a Maine Master Gardener since 1998 and runs Appleton Ridge Flower and Vegetable Farm with his wife Kathy, also a Maine Master Gardener.
