The Rockport Public Library will be closing its doors to the public Oct. 5 for the move into the new library. The exact date of the reopening is not known yet, but staff hopes to welcome the community into the new library near the end of October or early November.
Due dates will be extended until the new library is open. Patrons should hold onto any items they have checked out until the reopening. The book drop at the Commercial Street location will be locked. The last day to order Interlibrary Loan items will be Sept. 24.
Rockport Public Library members are excited to move into the new library, welcome patrons with a smile and show them around their new library.
