Paul McFarland has put together 68 of his best poems in one volume, entitled "Father's Shoes." He has chosen these rhymes from the hundreds that he has written over the past 50 years.
In this work, you will find colorful characters, real and fictitious, that roam the Pine Tree State. There are patriotic and spiritual verses along with true stories of ill-fated voyages of fishing boats off the coasts of Maine and Alaska.
McFarland is a native of Camden, being born in the old hospital on Mountain Street, and now resides in Lincolnville with his wife, Sheila.
The book is available through his website, paulmcfarlandpoetry.com, and at the Owl & Turtle Bookshop, 33 Bay View St., Camden.
