Ed and Kay Botkin show their oil paintings and granite sculptures at the Granite Gallery Friday, Aug. 21, through Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a new venue for the Botkins' annual show. While there will not be a formal reception this year, the show will be open until 7 p.m. on opening day, Friday, Aug. 21.

This year Ed will be showing several new works of realistic oil paintings depicting Midcoast Maine. The painting “Fish Beach Morning” is a view of the beach on Monhegan Island soon after sunrise.

Ed’s book, “Maine From an Artist’s Palette,” showing a selection of his Maine paintings over the past few years, will be available.

Kay will be showing her glass and granite sculptures. Her current work includes two new granite sculptures with bronze cast wind bells. The sculptures range in size from eight inches to four feet tall and can be used inside as well as outdoors. They are ideally suited for lawn/garden decoration or as an interesting piece of art in the home.

The Granite Gallery is located at 68 Main St. For more information, visit edbotkin.com or call 207-372-6369.
