Coastal Mountains Land Trust is extending its 18th annual free blueberry picks.

This year, instead of selling blueberries, the Land Trust is offering community free picks, now extended from Monday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Aug. 14 – a wild Maine blueberry extravaganza!

Preregistration is required in order to keep the number of participants per time slot within Maine guidelines. To register, visit www.coastalmountains.org.

On Monday, Aug.  10, Tuesday, Aug. 11 and Friday, Aug. 14, picking is available at these times, with each session limited to 50 individuals at a time:

Session 1:   9 to 10:30 a.m.

Session 2:   10:30 a.m. to noon.

Session 3:   1 to 2:30 p.m.

Session 4:   2:30 to 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 12 and Thursday, Aug. 13, sessions are at these times, with each session limited to 50 individuals at a time:

Session 1:   noon to 1:30 p.m.

Session 2:   1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Session 3:   3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Session 4:   4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Session 5: 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Participants are required to bring a mask (although will not need to wear if distanced from others), their own drinking water and containers. Raking is not permitted. Hand washing stations will be available. Dogs are not allowed in the fields.
