New Era Gallery’s "Late Summer, or Art in the Time of Pandemic Volume IV" features the work of Parrish Dobson and Kitty Wales. Dobson’s ethereal photographs of the meeting of sky and water have the liminal quality of the time of waking, or of daydreaming. Wales’s sculpture and drawings are assembled from found and made objects, and reconstructed into animate shapes that contain layer upon layer of story.

The show runs from Aug. 8 through Sept. 1, with a meet the artists time on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. Gallery hours during the pandemic are Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments at other times are always welcome and virtual tours are available on neweragallery.com.
