The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating two cases from Monday in which drivers fled from officers. In one case, the person had been driving at extremely high speeds before crashing.

The high-speed incident occurred early Monday morning April 20 in Warren. Knox County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Patrick Polky said the 2014 Ford pick-up truck was operating at extremely high speeds and attempting to elude law enforcement before it crashed on the Patterson Mill Road in Warren at about 1:45 a.m.

The driver fled the scene and the Sheriff's Office brought in its canine to try to locate the person. The suspect was not located.

The vehicle was a total loss. The case remains under investigation.

Shortly after noon on Monday, a man fled from a traffic stop in St. George. The canine was brought in for that search too but the suspect was not located.

That case remains under investigation.
