The Town of Appleton is conducting a Comprehensive Plan Survey to help the town plan for future growth, protect valued resources, and better access state and federal municipal grant programs for infrastructure improvements.
The Comprehensive Plan Committee has created an online survey, available via a link on the town’s website. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and covers topics such as natural resources, zoning, and basic demographics.
Maine requires municipal comprehensive plans to help guide growth. Resident and landowner participation will help Appleton meet state requirements in an informed, community-driven manner. All adults who are 18 years of age and older who live in or are Appleton property owners may answer once.
Due to Covid-19, surveys can no longer be picked up at the town office, but online surveys are available. In addition, if you wish to have a paper survey mailed to you, contact the town office at 785-4722.
Members ask all Appleton residents and property owners to complete the survey by April 15.
