Union town office will be closed for in-person transactions for at least two weeks because of health concerns from the coronavirus.

Town manager Jay Feyler said the town will be doing business by mail, phone and email.

Feyler said they will be posting updates online, and office employees will be maintaining social distance.

The town will be looking into the Emergency Options Plan, which will allow them to take action on some matters without Board of Selectmen approval.

Feyler said board meetings will still be occurring because the board still has to conduct business. He said they will encourage residents to email members of the board or send one representative and stream the meeting through platforms such as Facebook Live.

Selectmen's tables will be rearranged to maintain social distance, and the board will be seeking permission to do remote voting so the board does not have to be in the same room to conduct business.
