The town of Thomaston was presented the Superior Award by the Board of Judges in the 2019 Maine Municipal Association Municipal Report Competition at the 83rd Annual Maine Municipal Convention in Bangor Oct. 2 and 3.

Awards were given to the top three reports in five different population categories, with Thomaston placing second in its population group. Interim Town Manager Kara George was present to receive the award.

Last year, the town placed third.
