Gideon to hold meeting Sept. 30

Democrat Sara Gideon of Freeport, who is speaker of the Maine House of Representatives and is running for her party's nomination to face Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins in next year's election, will meet with Midcoast residents Monday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Spruce Head Community Center, 66 Village Road.

Gideon will speak and answer questions regarding her experiences in Augusta and her vision for the future. She currently represents House District 48.
