National POW MIA Recognition Day events will be held on the Camden Village Green Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Camden's local Post 30 will hold a silent ceremony, followed by a reading of the names of members of U. S. Armed Services members from Maine, from all wars, who are still unaccounted for.

Representatives of the Silhouette Project will be present. The organization's mission is to raise awareness of the suicide epidemic among veterans and active duty military personnel, and spotlight organizations that provide services to those affected and their families.

The Select Board approved the use of the Village Green August 22 by American Legion War Memorial Post 30.

Members of the public are welcome to attend. For more information, call Jeff Sukeforth at 691-2270 or visit War Memorial Post 30 on Facebook.
