Michael H. Crosby, 72, was called home Thursday night, April 11, 2019.

Michael was born Nov. 1, 1946, in New York, N.Y., to Michael E. Crosby and Blanche (Rauch) Landman. He graduated from high school in 1964 and enlisted in the Navy, where he served from Sept. 1, 1964, to Oct. 27, 1967. He was a Vietnam veteran and the recipient of three bronze stars. In 1994 he married Ruth H. Lawson where they lived in San Jose, Calif. Ruth predeceased him. Michael worked as a software engineer until he retired and moved back to his hometown of Rockland. During his free time Michael enjoyed fishing and photography.

Michael was also a member of the Rockland Lodge of Elks No. 1008, and was a great friend to many.

Michael is survived by his niece, Kristine Landman-Lewis, and her husband, Mike Lewis, of Florence, Ariz.; his nephew, Michael Landman, and his wife, Julie, of Sahuarita, Ariz.; his four great-nephews, Nicholas and his wife, Lena, of Tucson, Ariz., Christopher, Matthew, and Michael; his three great-nieces, Lauren, Jackie and Maddie; his great-great-niece, Lilly; his great-great-nephew, Avery; his stepson, Richard Hewitt; his granddaughter, Kayleigh Hewitt; and many other wonderful friends.

Michael was a great man who touched many lives and will be truly missed.
