The sun finally made an appearance for Midcoast high school tennis squads to start the week on the courts — but it still was windy and cool.

Oceanside, Medomak Valley and Camden Hills teams were in action on Monday, April 29, with various degrees of success.

The Mariners fell to Belfast, as the boys lost 5-0 and the girls 3-2. The Panthers netted wins over Brewer, as the girls won 3-2 and the boys 4-1, while the Windjammers split with Mount Blue of Farmington, as the boys won 5-0 and the girls lost 5-0.

Belfast 3, Oceanside 2

At Rockland April 29, the Mariners were edged by the Lions.

The individual results, with Mariner players listed first, were: In singles, Jasmine Bouchard beat Madison Farris, 6-4, 6-2; Emma Carpenter beat Clarisse Stradtman, 6-2, 6-4; and Alexa Barstow lost to Emily Woods, 6-4, 2-6, 2-6.

At Rockport April 29, the Cougars clawed through the Windjammers.

At Waldoboro April 29, the Panthers swung to victory over the Witches.
