A 38-year-old Tenants Harbor man is being held at a Florida jail after being sought for three weeks for threatening a woman while holding a gun.

Corey Rytky was arrested Sunday, March 31, in Daytona, Fla., following a traffic stop, according to Rockland Deputy Police Chief James Pease. Rytky was charged with Class B  burglary on a warrant obtained in the Knox County court by Rockland police.

The charge stems from a March 10 incident in Rockland, Pease said. Rytky is accused of breaking into a house and pulling a woman out of bed at gunpoint, the deputy chief said. The two knew each other.

He then fled and has been sought by police since the incident. Police obtained a search warrant for his telephone records, but he fled to Florida before he could be apprehended locally.

Pease said it was uncertain whether Rytky will contest extradition to Maine, so when he will return to the state for his initial Maine court appearance is not known.
