The Camden Hills ice hockey team's season came to an end in the semifinals of the Class B North playoffs, but three Windjammer seniors continued their high school careers one more game on Saturday, March 16 at Falmouth Family Ice.

Nate Van Lonkhuyzen, Bryce Tyler and Michael Blackwell were selected to compete on the Class B North senior all-star team.

"[They] represented the North and Camden Hills with class, speed and great heads-up play in this showcase game," said Windjammer coach John Magri.

The South claimed the victory over the North 5-2.

Seven players — including Van Lonkhuyzen, Tyler and Blackwell — from Camden Hills also were recognized for their season of achievements at the Class B North banquet on Sunday, March 17 Jeff’s Catering in Brewer.

Blackwell, Van Lonkhuyzen and Tyler were recognized for being members of the Class B North all-star team, while Tyler also was named the Hobey Baker Award recepient, given for character, excellence and a love for the game and sportsmanship. Tyler also was named third-team all-region.

Tyler's recognition on the third team placed him as one of the top nine forwards in the region.

Tyler was not the only Windjammer to earn all-region honors, as junior Andrew Orne was selected as second-team all-region, freshman Jackson Bernier third-team all-region and junior Quinn Brown honorable mention.

Orne's selection placed him as one of the top four defensemen in the region and Bernier as one of the top three goalies in the region.

Sophomore Charlie Griebel also earned honors, as he was selected to the academic all-region team for his standout work in the classroom and on the ice.
