Waldoboro Public Library is offering a new Adult Art Club, led by local artist and teacher Joyce Steel. Sessions will run Mondays, March 25 through April 22, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the library, 958 Main St./Route 1.

These art classes are for all adults — young or old; male or female; those who swear they have ‘zero artistic ability, are an aspiring artist or working professionals. Creative energy flows through all, so come and mess around with paints and an array of other expressive tools. Participants will learn some of the important basic principles and elements of design that reveal themselves everywhere.

As an art educator, Steel has taught in both public and private education, as well as a variety of Adult Ed courses and private classes.  She is committed to providing an innovative creative learning environment where participants are encouraged to experiment and discover their own creative voices.

Adult Art Club is free of charge and limited to 15 members. To enroll, or for more information, call the library at 832-4484 or stop by the library, which is open Mondays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The deadline for enrollment is Thursday, March 21.
