Historic boatbuilding talk set for March 20

ROCKLAND — The Apprenticeshop, 655 Main St., presents a talk on documenting and replicating historic small craft March 20 at 6 p.m. with veteran boatbuilders Greg Rössel and Ben Fuller. Admission is free, with donations accepted. For more information, call 594-1800.

'Come Spring' tea set for March 21

UNION — The Union Historical Society will hold a "Come Spring" Tea at The Robbins House on the Common March 21 from 3 to 6 p.m. Historical Society members will be dressed in period attire, and will serve baked goods from recipes found in the collection of early Union resident Lena Grinnell. The event is free, with donations accepted. The snow date is March 28.

Church sets annual turkey supper for April 5

UNION — The People's United Methodist Church, 21 Depot St., will hold its annual turkey supper April 5 at 6 p.m. The meal will include the traditional fixings and homemade pie for dessert. Tickets, which are $12 each, will be sold March 17, 24 and 31 at about 11:30 a.m., immediately following the Sunday service. Tickets may also be purchased by calling Joyce Grotton at 785-2651.

South School PTF group fundraising for basketball hoop
