Belfast musician Scot Cannon will present a free concert Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at Lincolnville Community Library, 208 Main St./routes 173/52.

The talented singer and guitarist performs his own acoustic versions of jazz and pop standards from the 1920s to 1940s. He also plays lively, at times funny, tunes of his own, which he says often inspire his audiences to move along even in their chairs. Many people will recognize him from his entertaining performances at local farmers markets.

Cannon has a degree from the Berklee College of Music in music education, instrumental arranging and guitar. Over the past 40 years, he has toured the East Coast offering music, mime and theater programs for children and adults. Now he offers songwriting residencies in Midcoast schools and hosts the “Family Radio” Hour on WERU Saturdays at 11 a.m.
