The high school unified basketball regular season is winding to a close, with teams from Oceanside of Rockland, Belfast, Medomak Valley of Waldoboro Camden Hills of Rockport and Mount View of Thorndike in recent action on the hardwood.

The regular season will wrap on Friday, March 1, with the postseason set to begin with prelim playoff games on Tuesday, March 5.

Teams also have the option to not participate in the traditional playoffs and instead opt to participate in one of several end-of-season unified basketball festivals.

The Mariners, Mustangs, Panthers and Lions play official schedules, while the Windjammers participate in exhibitions.

The following is a recap of recently-reported results:

Oceanside 44, Belfast 26

At Belfast Feb. 14, the Mariners sailed past the Lions.

Angel Seiders scored 10 points for Oceanside, while Ryan Warren added eight; Haley Callahan, Kaythryn Pierce and Ryan Morse, six; and Erica Dyer and Byron Radley, four.

Jordan Drinkwater scored 10 points for Belfast, while Mercedes Curtis added six; Airy Berry, four; and Hailey Emerick, Tiger Lee and Rico Washington, two.

In the Maine Principals’ Association Heal Point Standings for the North Division, Oceanside (4-1, 47.9167 points) is sixth, while Belfast (1-5, 18.7500 points) is 14th. Hampden/Bangor (6-0, 106.2500 points) is first in the 25-team region. The top 17 teams qualify for the playoffs.

Medomak Valley 34, Camden Hills 31

At Rockport Feb. 14, the Panthers emerged with a three-point win over the Windjammers.

Tyler McKay scored 24 points for Medomak Valley, while Angel McKay added four and Jacob Rinehart and Mike Severson two.

Deven Short and Jerrid Farwell scored eight points for Camden Hills, while Nick Brawn added five; Blaine Cook and Lauryn Keating, four; and Kenny Magivney, two.

Oceanside 36, Medomak Valley 24

At Waldoboro Feb. 12, the Mariners emerged with a 12-point win over the Panthers.

Angel Seiders scored 14 points for the Mariners, while Ryan Warren added 12; Byron Radley, eight; and Kaytlyn Pierce, two.

Angel McKay netted 16 points for the Panthers, while Tyler McKay added six and Mike Severson two.

Medomak coach Tracie McLain said at the Panthers' final regular-season game on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. against Mount View, her squad will hold "senior night" and also “fans in the stands” appreciate night.

"So we will be handing out a ticket to every fan that attends Thursday’s game," she said. "They will be able to choose one of five drawings to put their ticket into. Drawings will include $15 gift card to Domino's Pizza, $10 gift card to Dunkin' Donuts, $15 gift card to Moody’s Diner, plush Easter bunny and Easter movie, or a Medomak Unified t-shirt. We have had such an outpouring of support from Medomak’s faculty and student body, parents and the community that we want to show our appreciation."

Mount View 85, Mount Desert Island 66

At Bar Harbor Feb. 11, the Mustangs galloped past the Trojans.

Nick Elkins poured in 33 points for Mount View, while Brendan Savoy added 12; Justice Savoy and Morgan Taylor, 10; Austin Grotton and Emily Kendall, six; and Rick Nelson and Logan Irving two.

Tyler McKay scored 24 points for Medomak Valley, while Angel McKay added 16 and Mike Severson four.

Tiger Lee, Mykaila Willard and Airy Berry led Belfast with nine points, while Toby Jones and Jordan Drinkwater added two.

Bucksport 57, Mount View 46

At Bucksport Feb. 7, the Golden Bucks netted an 11-point win over the ‘Stangs.

Nick Elkins scored 18 points for Mount View, while Justice Savoy added 10; Brendan Savoy and Austin Grotton, six; Emily Kendall, four; and Rick Nelson, two.

At Dexter Feb. 1, the Mustangs emerged with a five-point win over the Tigers.

At Belfast Jan. 30, the Eagles bested the Lions by five points.
