That’s right! P.A.W.S. is offering a week-long half-day humane education camp at the shelter during the April and Summer breaks for eight to 12-year-olds.

Do your little campers want to work with animals when they grow up? Would they like to explore different animal career choices? Well then, this is the camp for them! The camp’s theme is Animal Careers. There will be guest speakers from various animal professions, interesting crafts, lots of humane education and tons of animal time with the P.A.W.S. dogs and cats. There will be so much fun that the kids won’t even realize how much they’re learning at the same time. Don’t wait; Animal Careers Camp fills fast. Register now, while there’s still space available.

Did you know that P.A.W.S. also offers seven sessions of P.A.W.S. Pals Summer Camp at the shelter?

P.A.W.S. PALS is a humane education camp designed to teach children about the responsible care and treatment of animals. We’ll explore the key issues in animal welfare and the role of P.A.W.S. in the local community, as well as brainstorm ways that young people can make a difference in the lives of animals that need their help.

Hands-on activities include visits with the shelter animals and staff, informative lessons about responsible pet ownership and dog/cat safety, fun animal crafts and service projects — and did we mention lots of animal time with the P.A.W.S. dogs and cats?
