Georges River Trout Unlimited welcomes Native Fish Coalition, for a presentation on New England's Rare Arctic char at Flatbread Company, in Rockport, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.   The presentation will include a brief history of New England's Arctic char, and discussion of biology, status, threats, conservation, and fishing for this rare species.

Native Fish Coalition speakers will be Emily Bastian and Bob Mallard. Mallard is a founding member and National Vice Chair of Native Fish Coalition. He is a Registered Maine Fishing Guide and the Publisher, Northeast Regional Editor and a regular contributor to Fly Fish America magazine. Bastian is the general manager for Trident Fly Fishing.  She is a registered Maine guide, an ecologist and has worked as a National Park Ranger, Maine Game Warden, law enforcement officer and field biologist.

The GRTU meeting will start at 6 p.m. with an informal gathering for those who wish to converse and enjoy a casual meal.
